Andy Owings School of Music & Performing Arts Center is your premier and family-friendly local music learning center in Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand area. By popular demand, this summer we are going to offer youth music camps that kids and their families can join and enjoy.

2012 SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS AT ANDY OWINGS SCHOOL OF MUSIC

for Students Currently in Grades 1st – 6th
(younger and older students may enroll at camp director’s discretion)

When: Tuesday – Saturday, August 14 – 18, 2012

Where: Andy Owing s School of Music & Performing Arts Center

CAMP 1: MUSIC EXPLORATION CAMP (10:30 AM – 12:30 PM) ~ Cost: $90

Includes introduction to music theory, music history, ear training, and music playing. Also introduces students to different musical instruments, including piano, guitar, violin, drums, and many more.

This camp is perfect for both students who have no musical experience and experienced students who want to broaden their knowledge and musical horizons.

CAMP 2: MUSIC JAM CAMP (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM) ~ Cost: $90

Includes introduction to band & ensemble rehearsals, ensemble etiquette, music reading, and rhythm playing. Also includes jam session performances and drum circle that the rest of the family can join and enjoy together.

This camp is perfect for both students who have no musical experience and experienced students who want to apply their music knowledge and lessons into live music playing with others. A Fun musical experience indeed for students and the entire family.
